World Hepatitis Day is celebrated every year on July 28.
This year’s theme is ‘Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down’ calling for advocacy to address the advanced barriers of health, finance, social issues, and stigma to ensure prevention, testing, vaccination, and treatment.
The message emphasizes the significant gaps that hinder community supplies and contribute to increased premature mortality rates.
In the framework of this day, our specialists are conducting regular awareness, prevention, and advisory activities aimed at raising public awareness about the risks of hepatitis, modes of transmission, the importance of prevention, and timely diagnosis.
At the “Yerevan” Medical Center, activities include the diagnosis of Hepatitis B and C viruses, assessment of family risk, and analysis of hereditary predisposition, professional advice for patients and risk groups, appropriate guideline approaches, educational seminars, and support for healthcare workers.
It should be reminded that viral hepatitis often occurs asymptomatically, and if not diagnosed in time, it can lead to serious complications such as liver cirrhosis, cancer, etc. However, early diagnosis and medical intervention can save lives.
We urge you to stay informed, get tested, and take care of your and your family’s health.
