Violeta Alberti Sargsyan
‘Violeta’ Medical Center chief physician, PhD in medicine
Graduated from Yerevan State Medical University with honors.
Completed postgraduate education at Yerevan Medical Requalification Institute after Avdalbekyan in infectious diseases specialty.
1993 to 1999 worked at Yerevan infection clinic hospital N1 as deputy chief physician in medical care. Simultaneously worked at Yerevan state medical university after Mkhitar Heratsi department of infectious diseases as a lecturer. Since 1999, after infection clinic N1 restructuring, continued her work and scientific practice at the ‘Armenicum’ Clinical Center as chief of clinical services. She successfully combined practice with scientific research, especially in the field of hepatology and infections. Participated in numerous clinical and pilot research projects first as a medical researcher, then as chief research officer. 2002-2005 lead ‘Armenicum’ drug efficacy, safety and tolerance independent clinical trials (JCP II stage) in HIV-positive patients as chief research officer at the St. Petersburg N30 hospital clinic and hepatology center after Burkin and Moscow HIV prevention center. As a result of these trials ‘Armenicum’ was approved in Russian Federation.
In 2005 Violeta Sargsyan defended her PhD thesis at the St. Petersburg postgraduate education academy receiving RF PhD in Medicine degree. 1999 to 2019 worked at the ‘Armenicum’ CC as chief of clinical services.
Since 2019 is the founding director of ‘Violeta’ Medical Center. Since 2020 is chief physician.
Since 2010 is also a hepatologist-infectologist at ‘Astghik’ medical center. To this day, along with young medical researchers, continues scientific research and studies about infectious diseases, hepatitis C and B, hepatocellular carcinoma, HIV infection and immune deficiency accompanied diseases.
Actively participates in international conferences and symposiums. Is the member of Asian Pacific (APASL), European (EASL), American (AASLD) associations, hepatology and gastroenterology association. Is the president of ‘Armenian association of Infectology, immunology, clinical transplantology, gastroenterology-hepatology specialists’ public charitable organization’s board of directors (2022).
Is the author of more than 100 scientific theses and articles printed in local and international periodicals.
