Sona R. Sargsyan

Sona R. Sargsyan graduated from the faculty of general medicine of the Yerevan State Medical
University after M. Heratsi.
In 2014-2017 passed clinical residency at the YSMU department of infectious diseases ('Nork' Infection
Clinic Hospital) in the specialty of 'Infectious Diseases'.
In 2014 completed basic medical researcher course at GCP (Good Clinical Practice) CROCUS Medical
BV (The Netherlands) receiving qualification as a clinical monitor.
In 2017-2019 worked at 'Nork' infection clinic hospital as an infectious disease physician. Since 2018 also
worked at 'Armenicum' medical center as an infectious disease physician. Since 2018 has been a
graduate student at YSMU department of infectious diseases. Since 2019 has been the infectious
disease specialist and hepatologist in the transplant care team at 'Astghik' Medical Center. In 2019-2020
passed clinical residency for a second specialty at the YSMU department of gastroenterology-hepatology.
Since 2019 has been a clinical services manager, infectious disease physician, gastroenterologist-
hepatologist at 'Violeta' medical center.
In 2019 and 2021 completed clinical transplantology recertification course at Moscow's 'Burnazyan Organ
Transplant Center'.
In 2021-2022 07/06-07/07, 01/09-01/02 completed additional certification at the YSMU as a sonographer.
Is a member of The European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), The Asian Pacific
Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) and The Armenian Association of Hepatologists and
Gastroenterologists. Participated in international conferences for liver disease research.
Is the author of more than 15 publications, printed in local and international periodicals.
Is currently studying 'The effects of antiviral treatment on interleukin 10 and liver fibrosis score in chronic
hepatitis C patients'. Has presented reports at scientific and practical conferences and seminars.
