Elena M. Aghajanova graduated with honors from the faculty of general medicine of the Yerevan State Medical University.
Passed clinical residency at YSMU in the specialty of “Endocrinology”, as well as “Pediatric endocrinology”.
In 2002 she defended her PhD thesis, in 2014 she defended her doctoral dissertation.
Since 2008 up to the present time, head of the Department of Endocrinology at the Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi, Head of the clinic of endocrinology at the “Muratsan” University Hospital Complex.
She completed an internship at the Center for Endocrinology and Metabolism at Hudinge Hospital, Karolinska University, Stockholm, Sweden; in the Department of the Diabetic Foot at the All-Russian Endocrinological Research Center, Moscow, RF; in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Barmherzige Brothers, Graz, Austria. In 2009, she completed a long-term internship at the Clinic for Pediatric Endocrinology, Charité University Hospital, Berlin, Germany. Is a member of the Councils of YSMU, a member of the specialized expert commission on internal diseases.
Is the author of more than 70 publications, including 8 manuals, 1 patent. Supervisor of 2 Ph.D. theses.
She is the President of the Armenian Association of Pediatric Endocrinologists, founded by her in 2015. Member of the Board of the Armenian Association of Endocrinologists, Association “No to Osteoporosis”, Member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, European Society of Endocrinologists.
He is a Consultant Endocrinologist of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Advisor to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia on Pediatric Endocrinology.
